Issues with Docks that are set to auto hide showing up in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

I have 3 docks one at the bottom of the screen that is always shown. One at the left edge that is set to auto hide and one at the top of the screen that is seet to autohide.  When ever I lock my screen and then unlock it with AAtrl-Alt-Del the docks that are set to autohide are shown in the upper left hand corner with no icons.  I have to move my mouse to where the dock should be then they reappear.

These docks worked fine on my laptop which was an IBM thinkpad, then I had to upgrade to a desktop which is a DELL OPTIPLEX 780, and I have had this issue ever since.

The video card is an internal Intel 4 Series Internal Chipset. 1024 MB RAM  GMA 4500.

Does anyone have any clues on how to fix this?

I have went through all the settings in Object Dock and nothing seems to fix this.

What do you mean by "locking your screen?"

I'm sure he means locking the computer by using Ctrl+Alt+Delete and selecting Lock Computer.

Thanks, m1. Should've been able to guess that one.

blueman, I've tried to replicate your problem, but it doesn't happen to me.

messiah1 is correct, that is what I meant.

When I log in to this new box it loads objectdock fine, but only after I lock the screen and then uplock it, that it does this.  If I set the docks to be visible they are fine.  This only happens if I hide them off screen and then lock the screen and unlock it that it does this.

I even created a new dock to test it out and it does the same thing.

Is there a way to upload the screen shot of how it looks after I unlock my screen?

Yes. Upload it to an image host like ImageShack or TinyPic and insert it into your post using "Insert/Edit image" control. In your post reply form, see that icon of a tree? That's the one.

The pic above is of 2 object docks one centered from the top and one centered on the left, both set to autohide.  I lock the screen and then unload the screen and this is what it looks like.  To fix it I have to move the move to the top of the screen and the left side of the screen where they are supposed to be and then they snap back.

Thanks for clarifying. When I tried to replicate your problem, I did the exact same thing you do. Even tried checking/unchecking some other checkboxes and options. Still no luck. Sorry.

Do you have any other unique settings in OD that could complicate things?

How 'bout your video card drivers--are they up to date?

Do you have any other strange occurrances with any other programs?

Also, do you happen to need drivers for your monitors? If so, are they up to date?

I tried this and I Didn't get the result he got but my zoomer dock just disappeared and the only way to get it back was to reload it from the shortcut.

Kind of looks like the screen resolution is changing when he locks the computer and the docks are getting dumped into the corner?

Quite possibly.

Now that you mention it, this sort of funky behavior with docks has happened on occasion when I have disconnected from a monitor, thereby changing my resolution.

Doesn't look like this is going anywhere.  You could try starting up a ticket with Stardock Support here:

https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit

and include a reference to this thread to save yourself some typing.  You'll also want to tell them exactly which version of Windows you're running.

They are Mon-Friday so it'll be a couple of days.  Don't email them repeatedly, each time you do will reset you in their receipt order.
