Graphics shifted to the right side of the screen.

For some reason, no matter how many times I try to uninstall and reinstall Sins. The graphic's center is on the right side of the screen, so the entire right hand side is completely cut off.

I am running XP SP3, Geforce FX5200 128mb (I know this gfx card is horrible, it is a bandaid because the systems Geforce 6600 died last christmas, some christmas gift I know).

I am really confused now. I had thought that the problems might have been linked to a bad install of diplomacy so as I said I tried uninstalling, deleting the files in /User/Local Settings and in /All Users/Application Data but that still didn't fix the problem.

I am consigning the fate of this computer to never run sins again. (It used to run sins beautifully). But if there was any way to save it, I really would like to know. Thank you.

I have FX5200 too and I was able to run it. Try updating the drivers.

Well I tried that and it was not the answer. The Drivers for the FX 5200 Nvidia cards are corrupted so they seriously screwed up my system. If it wasn't for the fact that I had a system Restore checkpoint that had saved itself that morning I would be in a world of hurt right now.

The problem could still lie with my graphics card, but it doesn't give problems to anything else, so I am just not sure what is going on.

I don't think so, because you ARE able to play other games and do stuff just fine, right?

Try to change the resolution. Since you can't do this ingame, change the user.setting file, which is located in C:\\documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\sins of a solar empire   or something like that. Open the file with Notepad and search for screen width and height. (Note that this is from my memory, I don't have the game on my PC any longer. Someone who has it will be surely more able to tell you the path of the file).

If you can't do this either, then, contact the support. Cheers.
