It's actually not sad- it's simply one of several methods of enforcing the speed limit.

The pic, however, is a complete fabrication. They don't use military aircraft to enforce speed limits- rather, aircraft overflights, and said aircraft probably have some kind of terrain-mapping/speed-scanning radar suite.

That spider gif is terrifying. I happen to be a spider slayer and I would advise a stick for such a big jumping spider. Really can't go wrong with a tennis racket. 

If jumping spiders were that big, humans (under 4 foot)  would be on their menu as a food source.
