Windows 7 64bit Weirdness with specific software? (Icon Packager 5)

Blank default icon for some software

I'm experiencing some strange issues with Icon Packager 5 on Windows 7 64bit but only with specific programs.

Certain programs display the default 'Blank' icon for most application shortcuts.

Specifically:

Launchy

Blaze

Startup Delayer

 Rocketdock

It seems to be basically anything relating to shortcuts, with the exception of the Windows Start Menu.

Oddly it is not all icons. Google Earth for example is fine. Most default install software is fine such as explorer, notepad, windows media player, calculator.

UPDATE: It relates in some way to the default icon for the shortcut. If I change from the default icon to some other icon it will work fine.

Tried rebuilding and repairing icons but it does not seem to make any difference.

Tried removing icon packager but this did not fix anything.

I don't experience this with the start menu or file manager Directory Opus.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

i have posted about this a while ago, all i got was x64 isn't supported.  i wish they would support it, it's quite annoying to see all those blank icon shortcuts.  if i go in a give each icon it's own icon file, then it works.

Total Commander
End of quote

is not a x64 program....it's likely the icons it's having issues with are from native x64 programs. I saw a post where the developer of TC is hoping to update the program is Borland comes out with an x64 version of delphi
