What exactly is your problem?

Does Demigod show up on your impulse my games page?

What happens when you try to dl it?

I don't know how many na servers they have but I think I get it from the main michigan server and it works fine.  Lots of new people are online, as evidenced by players on my team with zero games, doh!

Have you tried using Impulse Anywhere?

That is a weird issue. I have to agree with Stardock here though, this sounds more like there is an issue on your end, but a hard one to find.

Anyway, with a download manager you should easily be able to download the files from Impulse Anywhere, regardless of the connection losses.

Trigeminal,

Problem is I bought Demigod and the thing won't download. From my investigations I'm getting a constant 302 re-direct error from .Net which should mean it can't find the target data on the server.

Frogboy,

I sent you a PM about my experience so far and I have even sent in my resume as I feel Stardock could use the help.

You are the first person to mention using Impulse Anywhere. This goes to my point about the service/support problem. I did recently try Impulse Anywhere after I came to the conclusion of the troubleshooting I could do on my end, but I got a server connection reset error mid download and left it at that. I am trying it again as I type and the first part (.im01) erred out again. I'm on my second attempt at 160MB of 250MB. I'm getting 130KB/Sec per stream, but maybe that is by design?

What I can say is that most end-users would have given up and just went back to using Steam or others, and contacted their bank for a chargeback. Even though I’m very interested in seeing Impulse rival Steam, I am close to throwing in the towel.

Of 9 data files from Impulse Anywhere only IM01 downloaded completely. All other files erred with connection reset by server after about 100MB downloaded. This is another strike against the system, or infrastructure. Maybe time to look into a new pipes? Well, maybe tomorrow I'll have the parts downloaded. . .

Really sounds like some wierd issue on your end.  Hope evrything works out.

P.S.  Quick Tip:  Don't tell someone you sent a resume to that they really need your help, sounds dispariging.

If you're using a multi-connection download manager, you might try it without that.

Hey LifeSupport sorry to hear of the trouble and hope Stardock can help you figure it all out.  Do keep in mind though, the vast majority of us that use Impulse do not experience any of these weird issues you are having. I'm sure there are people who have odd problems with Steam too that make the service appear broken.

Btw, Frogboy is about the best support you can ask for.  It's his company after all ;)

Do you experience network break downs with torrents for example?

Life:  What's your ISP?  What's your router?  Are you using a wireless card?  Can someone at Stardock log on to his account and test the download in a different location?  Can you take the computer to a different internet source and try to download it?

I'm really curious as to what is causing this issue.

I suspect the issue to be with the internet explorer itself. Most usefull imformation i think is what version of IE you are using and pluggins (and versions) IE microsoft framework2.5,  Adobe flash, macrowave player etc.

Trying this game on LAN, the peple with IE6 couldnt install implulse / subsequently couldnt update to my version even thought the CD would install the core game.

Unfortunately steam/impulse are based of IE, not much we can do, exept try reinstall windows and reinstall IE8.

I do agree stardock impulse system is worse than steam, but even though you dont want to hear it, it looks to be your software setup/something wiht IE explorer.

Regarding email support/forum support - I assume with all games the best place to find a fix is the FORUM first.

Sucks to wait 2 weeks for 2 replys, but look at it this way:

I had a SD15 firmware Seagate drive. I emailed seagate regarding this and got 1 email in 4 weeks, replied to them and have NEVER heard back.
