Nightmare Tournament Question

Playing through a nightmare tournament with UB: Ooze build and after a near defeat I decided to watch the replay to see how much the opponent AI was "cheating" By way of gold and so on.

Game start I pick DA to see what gear he starts with and what skill selected. The Item he purchased is Nimoth's Ring, here I was surprised as I figured they got more starting money but not 3K more. But when I checked the rest of the enemy side none of the others had started with such a big item, just banded armor and tp scrolls for the most part.

 

SO my question is, is it normal for one opponent character to get a hefty boost in starting money or was that specific to DA?

 

edit note: the above bolded used to say income which I KNOW is higher for NM, what is weird is that DA was the ONLY one that seemed to have more starting money.

where did the extra money go though? the other AI had no more money then I did when starting. no citadel upgrades and no money spent in potions or ANYTHING. they simply didn't have 3-4k starting money.

never mind looking at the replay again I see that they all start with 4056 gold. But I guess they must spend that money to buy favor items?

No, favor items are free. You allies get the same amount of money you got, and your enemies all got the 4k like DA. In fact, all four of them bought Narmoth's Ring to start.

you are right, just checked it again and they all go nimoths ring. No idea why the first time I watched it they seemed to get different items. must have been a glitch or something. 

Maybe showing me the gear of a different DEMI I have seen replay weirdness before.

 

SO problem solved *facepalm* I am just slow I guess.
