Do mods make the game crash more?

I have two mods active and since enabling the mods the game has crashed during online play twice in two days when before a crash was extremely rare. Do they make the game unstable?

Which mods?

 

I have 3 active mods and I haven't had a crash in ages.  The simple answer is mods modify code so they could have unintended consequences, but most of them are benign.

I haven't had issues myself.  I use the most common UI mods. 

Start11 - Customize the Start Menu and Taskbar in Windows 10/11.

I use the Bman UI mod and the other mod that shows your teams gold. They work fine "mostly" but randomly, when I have them both enabled simultaniously, the game crashes at random. REALLY sucks when I'm winning a match then, BOOM CTD with error message of some sort associated with Demigod.

well when im testing my mods i see the game loading take a lil longer than usual each time i start up a match. But i find closing the game altogether then reopening refreshes this problem.

edit: i do a lot of alt+tabbing while testing so that could be the cause of lag each time i match up.
