Fences has hijacked my desktop...

Hi all, has anyone seen this problem before?  I turn my laptop on today and there's no desktop icons.  I thought that fences was maybe running in hidden mode - a double-click on my desktop shows this is not so, fences is still installed, but I have no desktop icons (even after removing/adding them back in via Personalize (this is on Vista)), no left-click drag, the fences process isn't running, and no way of getting my desktop back to how it should be.  Impulse and every stardock app has been uninstalled - still no joy.  I'm pretty miffed off about this. I've been using fences for about three months without any problem, and then today comes along and I have no desktop.  I'll be damned if I'm going to reinstall windows just because of a third party desktop mod can't keep it together XO

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.:\

I'm sure you've already tried this, but have you right-clicked, clicked on personalize, and made sure the checkbox to show desktop icons is checked?

 

It may have accidently gotten unchecked, or Fences may have done this for some reason.

This has been resolved in Fences to automatically resolve this issue on reboot if it occurs.
