Can't Download DeskScapes 3

I'm using Impulse to download DeskScapes 3 but all I get is the "Preparing download" message with no actual download. Why ? I renewed my Object Desktop subscription on the 8th of November this year; please don't tell me I now need to pay again...........

I'm having the same problem.

Went to do an update, uninstalled the beta, and now I get a message that the beta has expired.

Any help in  getting DeskScapes 3 would be appreciated.

Try resetting the data in Impulse preferences.

Island Dog,

Thanks. That worked. It took a couple of times, but it finally downloaded and installed.

Appreciate the support.

Chubs39: Do you have a current ObjectDesktop subscription, or did you purchase DS3 (or DS2 in the past 90 days or so)?

I am experiencing the same problem. Deskscapes will not download. I have a fully licenced and valid copy of ObjectDesktop Ultimate. I've tried using the "Reset Data" suggestion w/ reboot. I've uninstalled Deskscapes via Impulse w/ reboot. I've tried to restore my archived copy which failed. Trying to update from Deskscapes (available), I get the infamous error: "The beta of the application you are attempting to download/register is not available."

Obviously, at this point Deskscapes is not usable. Any help in restoring it would be greatly appreciated. :)

RESOLVED: In Preferences I unchecked the option to show pre-release (Beta) versions, clicked on the "Reset Data" button again and rebooted. After opening Impulse the available version for Deskscapes was changed from before and I was able to download and install it. I'm a little reluctant at this point to enable pre-release versions again although over quite a number of years I can't recall ever having this kind of problem with any of them.

Island Dog, can you point to me where I can get the 2.92 Beta again. I thought I could update to the final 3.0 version of Deskscapes with my 2.5 purchase serial...but it seems I can't? Maybe 2.5->3.0 upgrades aren't free?  I'm getting an Impulse error 80070005 everytime...and when I uncheck the beta option in prefs, it won't let me download 2.5 again because I'm on win7.  Anyway, is there a way to get the 2.92 version again that was working fine through impulse directly...without downloading 2.5 first? Please advise. thanks.

Nevermind. It's because it's not free upgrade. :) And the beta has been removed from impulse.

Okay, I have no idea what's going on. I have the same problem off and on. It'll either show "Deskscapes" or "Deskscapes 3" in the list. If it says Deskscapes, it won't install. If I get lucky and it says Deskscapes 3, it will. Then there was a point where I had Deskscapes 3 installed, and when I started Impulse, it wanted me to update it (Which the update was titled Deskscapes without the 3 in the name), then rebooted and reloaded Impulse. It said I had another update for deskscapes, this time WITH the 3 in the name.

I mean what the heck?

At any rate, I've gone as far as wiping Impulse and every installed Stardock app. Ran a sweep of the registery. Deleted all traces in AppData, etc. But the problem persists.

Running Windows 7 x64 latest retail build.

EDIT: Hapkido, I just tried what you described in your resolution.... and Deskscapes 3 reappeared. So, yeah that technically worked, but something was definitely wrong with that.

EDIT: Great. I opened Impulse again today having it update, and it reverts to DeskScapes without the 3, and it doesn't show up as installed anymore.
