The New Demigod's "Availability"

The New Demigod's "Availability"

1. What I've understood you can get the new Demigods and play them online if you happen to get invited by an Stardock or GPG employee who add them to your account. Is that correct or can only SD/GPG test them?

2. Currently AI can pick the new demis in single player mode. Why can't players do that to? That would enable players to help beta testing them without ruining something online.

Would be great if SD could answer these questions. Especially with Q1 I feel that we have been given some quite confusing information (or I just haven't read it thoroghly enough).

Nice, I knew there had to be a cleaner way. Does this work with multiplayer if both have the mod?

Actually, as long as both have the mod installed, only the host needs it enabled. The game automatically enables/disables mods based off of the host. So, it is just a matter of having them isntalled.

DA is a bit too strong and Occ is a bit too weak right now. That's my point on this.

@ddd888: May be 10 targets, but it is actually not that great when fighting all other demis. It is great against Ere and Oak with their swarms, or against creep waves, or if you happen to catch the other demis bunched together, but much less effective against lone demis who don't rely on minions to augment damage. Also, I'm not positive, but I think the hp and mana block isn't working just right. However, I was playing against Nightmare AIs when I noticed that, so maybe their boosted regen stats override the effect? Anyone else seen this... the few real MP games I've had with them haven't made it long enough for me to use Mind Shear.

Yep Yep you only need the mods installed, no need to enable anything if you are not hosting.

The newer mod doesnt have mesh or texture folders. It should look like this:

../mods/Random_EQ_New/hook/lua/common/HeroUtil.lua

( There should also be a mod_info.lua inside the Random_EQ_New folder )

Oh, interesting enough, you can also use demigod/mods/

The game is pretty redundant, and will check both locations for mods. Not sure which 1 takes precedence for any conflicts.

remember rook turrets?

basically its OP vs all generals

vs 2 or more generals (alwways in any good game since there are never 1 v1 fights) it just hits both and i recall very few abilities doing that (other than nuking creeps and minions too)

dont forget towers, right now it hits even defensive structures making it really good when demigods are defending

Are you talking about lighting chain? The thing is a mini tactical nuke. Scratch the rest of what I just said, I found it might have been a demigod and a creep ovelapping, further testing proved it to be false.
