Deskscapes 3 dreams not viewed in full screen

I have returned to deskscapes after about 18 months having previously used them In Vista Ultimate and viewed them and .mpg  files in full screen with 1024 x768 resolution ( nvidia 7300 gt card)

There were still occasional freezing / lock up issues for what was supposedly a default set up !

I now find in Deskscape 3 and using windows 7 64 bit that the display is not full screen but display starts about 2 inches from the bottom of the desktop and finsihes about 3 inches from the top.

Also although the deskscape display adjustment screen shows hybrid & video access tick boxes it does not seem to display or recognise moving videos in .mpg etc ,and also locks up regularly.

Any comments from other users ?

Click on the video settings tab in Deskscapes and set the aspect ratio adjustment to a different setting.

Chances are the dream you are using is widescreen and so will leave gaps at the top & bottom, but you can control this.

There is a known issue with the Deskscapes UI locking up on some nvidia based PCs if you have a video playing when you open the UI, but we will be updating DS this week to resolve this.  For now you can avoid this by using the pause option on the desktop before opening the UI.

.MPG and .WMV files will show if they are stored in one of the folders Deskscapes looks at for files.  You can add folders via the settings button on the top bar.

Thanks for the reply

I had noticed the  settings heading inc " quality settings " and "support for different graphics cards" but these do not relate to resizing screens displays.

The quality setting has no effect on this , sliding from one extreme to the other.

Seems strange that the same files showed correctly full screen in 1024 x768 in Vista.

I had stores other folders with mpg files etc but on another hard drive which was not recognised. now they have been moved and can be seen correctly.

I think you have misunderstood me.  I mean the tab on the bottom bar.

This tab will only show up for video and hybrid dreams. These video rendering style settings will only show up for video dreams.
