Uninstalling Fences AND Impulse

The Fences beta ran out earlier this week, on Nov 1st. I tried to uninstall it and it said I needed to install Impulse. I installed that, but when I went to run it, it gave me an error:

"Impulse has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I have the choice to check a box labeled "Restart Impulse" and to either "Send Error Report" (which doesn't do anything, that has its own error) or "Don't Send". Whenever I check the box and click "Don't Send" the same error pops up again! It's friggin' ridiculous to have to install an ADDITIONAL program to uninstall the original program! I just want to get rid of it all. I've tried uninstalling Fences from the Windows Add/Remove, same thing. I tried using CCleaner, same thing.

Any ideas? I just want to be free of Fences and Impulse.

Did you verify the Impulse installation?  If not, it may not have installed correctly.  Did you install Fences using Impulse?  If not, I am not sure why Impulse would be needed but it is normally used for all installations.  If Impulse installed correctly, you should be able to remove Fences with Impulse simply by right clicking on it and selecting Uninstall.  If not, you should be able to remove both progams through the normal add/remove programs or programs/features option in the Control Panel.  If that doesn't work you might try uninstalling them with Revo Uninstaller.  It's a free program and I use it all the time.  Just run an internet search and you will find it quickly.

It sounds like the Impulse install on your system is pretty messed up.  Normally I'd try to get Impulse working, but if your end goal is to uninstall both I'd say use Revo instead of having us try to fix Impulse just to remove it.  Also, if you e-mail support@stardock.com we have instructions on removing Impulse manually.
