What the??

understanding global economics

I am an Australian citizen, looking to buy WindowsBlinds.

Upon looking at the USD19.95 product, which quoted something like $23USd payment, I was disgusted at your 'exchange rate'. According to your figures for every $1AUD i would only get USD$0.50. The current exchange rate as of final trading on OCT 24th is $1AUD : $0.9220 USD.  This would cost me approx $26AUD as per the rates, meaning your system would have charged me an extra $20AUD, or so you can understand, $18.44USD overpriced.

Not happy guys.

Your maths doesn't look right, where do you get the extra $20 from? USD 19.95 would be AUD 23. Scratches head...

I suspect it is simply a case of the wrong currency unit showing.  The base price in USD does not change depending on where you are and the figure quoted in the local currency is just a guide as the actual amount charged will depend on your credit card providers exchange rate.

As Fuzzy Logic says, 23 AUD seems to be correct.  I will find out why the store is apparently suggesting it is USD.

ImaginationAU... I, too am Australian.....the prices quoted 19.95 vs 23 sound about correct.  The current exchange rate IS around 92c....however that is not a commercial rate...it's a financial value comparison of currency strength.  Transactions in International currency also incur fees/'bank handling' charges so the mathematical conversion will not and never will be that exact ratio.

I'd expect 19.95 USD to cost me about 25+ AUD by the time the banks have done with me/it...;)

What is the URL of the page that you are viewing the pricing on?  Or are you seeing this through Impulse?  You can actually view products that are available through us on a couple of our websites (www.impulsedriven.com or store.stardock.com)

Correct...odd how it never comes out in one's favor.

We did a check of our current pricing (and the conversions) and everything appears to be in in tact.  Can you please post a screen shot with the price of WindowBlinds here if you believe it is still incorrectly exchanging currencies.  Thanks!
