Phasic Trap is still bugged
Correct me if i'm wrong, but second tier of phase trap research still does not give anything to this ability.

I think that the Phasic Trap needs to be reworked or replaced entirely at this point.
well... i jsut started up a game to test... and it does seem that the second tier does not add anything...
unless what it adds is hidden... aka... it doubled the max number of targets or something (if their a max... i dont think there is?)
phasic trap does not need adjusting... it is crazy powerfull... get 2 hanger bays... with phasic trap... watch the 1000 strike craft jump in going after your starbase... the do a first pass... hit phasic trap on the first one... wait 35 seconds... and hit phasic trap on the second hanger bay... and put them back on autocast... those strike craft will never move again. ever. (at least untill you run out of antimatter... but at 50 antimatter every 70 seconds... that will be a looong while... perhaps forever if you have an antimattrer upgrade or 2.
I've noticed this as well. I wouldn't want to see it nerfed though (mainly because I love it so much, but I could see Advent and TEC players asking for a nerf).
Range 7000 > 8000, Duration 45 > 60.

IMO its op.Imean a few hangers taking out your entire sc fleet. You cant get close to them to kill anything. Its a bit rediculous.
No, it is not overpowered. Phasic trap unlike other hangar ebilities use antimatter, so few light frigates and/or capital ships abilities can easily cripple them.
if you use only strike craft yes, (it isn't phasing out other ships) because this ability protect from SC so... everything is possible if you know how.
umm... thats not what the ablitiy says in game...
Kitkun's correct. That's what it says in the data file.
yes this is in files, but PT on lvl2 just dont use 2nd tier file. It is still 1st lvl.
Ah. Aha. You are correct. In AbilityPhaseOutFighters.entity:
The file reads: maxNumLevels 1
It should read: maxNumLevels 2
