Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

D'oh!

Don't drink. At work. Too early.

Pick a reason.

It sucks. I am off my game.

And I am on your game.

Yes, and now I have to fix the pirate changes I had set up. :(

Pity.

They were horrifically strong.

lol Only in the first attack. Afterwards they need help.

Could anyone survive the first attack?

Yes, if prepared properly. Though considering the fact that pirates only hit one planet (though it is early in the game) the issue can be mitigated.

lol

In my experience, there is no such thing as luck. :P

It really is not that hard.

Okay, bad luck then.

I was only wishing you good luck in fixing it or good luck in finding the time to fix it; wherever you need it.

Time

Ask me for anything but time.

Good luck = Opportunity + Skill

I wish you the first. The second is your problem.

Too bad, I have just finished creating a device that vacuums all of your free time away.

Now you will find that all free time is filled with meaningless chatter and hopeless work amounts...

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Someone beat you to it.

Its called books.

Goes back to reading.

But alas, your reading time has become vacuum, thanks to my device!

That first wave has me really bugged. Not sure what to do about it short of making the first wave fixed. :(

Is it GalaxyDef that you are editing?

Or UserConstraints?

Send it my way.

I have time, but not the resources to test it. (I have no comp that I can use to test the changes out with)

Anyways, several possibilities:

The Pirate ships might have incorrect supply assigned to them. (I believe that this problem would give you different results.)

Initial supply in either the Supply research .entities or the PlayerPirate.entity

It appears that your problem revolves around supply in some way.

What seems logical is that the pre-research supply is greater than the post-research supply, e.g. before research I have 1000 instead of 100, but then I research and get the usual 300 supply.

If this is completely unhelpful, I apologize for wasting your time...

The first wave is massive. Like 200+ ships. The next waves (even the high end) never get that big. Pirates don't have supply settings like the standard races do. They are controlled by the gameplay.constants file.

Really?

I could've sworn that they were governed by research or by their PlayerPirate.entity.

and another large catch containing

FOURTEEN ratfish, TWELVE krakdrumfish, five draakjackets one bisofish, one carbofish, one stuntfish and

three tuskfish being eaten by harpfish

BUT NO possums in the catch

Well...that can only mean one thing.

Possums are now extint...begin the cloning process, we'll get their DNA off the nets.

just as there was NO dark electrofish, and the one that just showed up is the one that was cloned earlier.

I'm no clone, I have come from a distant land to visit my cousing tribe...and am disappointed to find they've all let themselves be caught in such shabby nets.  For shame.  Oh well, more for me.
