Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

You won't tell anyone, will you, sir?

For if word of this reaches anyone, I will find myself in dire straights.

-_-

I thought it was dire straits, a nuatical reference?

Straight, as in straight to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

Yes, I admit, I did it wrong.

Topic switch!

Is this awesome music? Or is it just me...

IDK, it might not be anyone else's idea of good music.

It's okay. Not my cup of tea. Especially during a battle I would need something a little less intrusive.

*shrugs*

I like it.

It's meant to accentuate the fact that you have a hundred cyborg dinosaurs at your disposal.

for...? What?

Supreme Commander 2

They really fixed it up, it's actually fun to play now.

Multiplayer games last 20 min-1 hour, and get pretty intense.

I like Supreme Commander. The 2nd was disappointing to me, and for a lot of reasons that I doubt they can patch. I wouldn't bother with it anyway as I'm not a fan of Steam. So no biggy.

To each his own.

I agree about Steam. I should be blown up.

and another NINE tesbs and fake harpos get gutted for the nets,

then the fake harpos get blown up for use as floats on the nets.

supreme commander 1 was ok as a game, but as supreme commander 2 had the STEAM virus in it(which in my opinion also causes computers to rust out) so I will NEVER even look at it, but both were attempts to re-make Total ANNIALATION, and failed.

True, both were follow ups to TA, but I liked that SupCom had a larger playing field that you could move in and out of. And some of the tech additions were nice. I could never say one is better than the other, cause I feel they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. That aside, SupCom2 disappointed me in that I was part of the audience drawn to giving it a chance based on my liking of TA, SupCom and their expansions. SupCom2, for me, deviated too far from the original design to keep me interested.

Keep in mind, I play SupCom with Experimentals, Nukes, and Long Range Artillery disabled.

The only way to play.

I can see the no experimentals and long range, but no nukes...  I enjoy having that "all your base are belong to me, what you won't give up, well eat shit and die." final attack.  >=]

That's just it. The AI will start throwing them all over the place with no sense of judgement, both for my defenses and the value of the targets. I just figure this way I save on building anti-nuke silos and both sides can put more resources toward sneaky or strong assaults. Same with long range artillery. It's a legitimate weapon, but they have those that span most of the maps and often are used to just hit whatever is closest. I leave most of the artillery intact, but I want to fight for a good high ground location.

One of my problems with SupCom2 is that Experimentals are too many, too easy, and too weak. A large map ends with each side making whole armies of experimentals and the AI just doesn't manage their use terribly well.
