Impluse is slow, slow slow - any advice?

The latest version of Impulse is slow as hell on my computer. I don't mean download speeds - they're fine, But navigating through impluse, downloading software, configuring download folders -- any interaction takes literally 1-2 minutes per mouse click. This wasn't a problem 6 months ago.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have to wonder the same thing. Logging in either from Impulse or directly into the website is taking forever tonight. Are there server problems?

There have been some server issues over the last few days that may have affected download speeds.  Things should be running normally now.

One thing I noticed...Microsoft Security Essentials makes Impulse and lots of other things slow. You can exempt Impulse in MSE from scanning (in settings), and then Impulse becomes "fast" again.

This is true for a lot of security apps that have real time scanning.  The first thing I do when installing is exclude Impulse.  Haven't had any issues with MSE after doing this.
