New Minor Race Images!

from Stardock Forums
Hi Folks,

Since there has been such a high demand for replacement images for the minor race logos I decided to whip out a couple of replacement packs based on some of my favorite space strategy/adventure games.

Because of possible copyright and IP issues I won't submit these to the library, but you can download them (and check out preview images) at my CDG website.

Ab-so-lutely!

I wish I could think of more sources to mine... hmmm there was a remake of Commander Blood, but if I remember correctly the aliens looked like muppets ;)

Can't think of other games that had 3D aliens (as opposed to "cartoony") hmmmm.... :notsure:

I had Commander Blood... and yes, the aliens looked kinda like muppets half the time and didn't look well done any of the time.

Yeah the Star Control 3 ones looked funny sometimes, but the commander blood ones looked terrible as I recall ;p

Did you ever see Captain Blood? it was the first in that series.... the aliens look god-awful in that one... by comparison the aliens in Commander Blood were 10fold better...

is/was supposed to be for galciv? the one with the long
snout and black uniform a drippy at the mouth.

No idea, but I agree he is quite cool looking! (His black armor makes me think of Dark Arnor... but Frogboy has stated that things created by Draginol tend to have human appearance so I'm thinking that he can't be that... hmmmm :notsure: Guess he's just a cool minor race beastie)

Well I can only speak for myself, but your welcome! :) I enjoy making this stuff up so it's actually fun to do. If I had to do it day in and day out for a living like Cari, Brad, Scott and the others I might not be so enthusiastic (hehehe), but you have to figure - your worst day at designing games will always beat your best day at a "real" job LOL

This is such a cool mod. I'm glad someone came out with this.

By the way, the soldier from the intro movie (fifth race in the pack) is a Drengin. You can tell by his belt-buckle.

Duglis, why is Thrull hosting your mods when you can have your own forums? What do I need to do bud, you deserve the forums after all! Thrull did not setup the forums to host other people's work anyways. ;p Real easy no hassle we even maintain them for you if you want. :D Maybe I should give up offering! :d
