[Impulse] how to know we have precommanded a game?

or the real history of a newcomer to impulse.

With the coming of Elemental beta ( Hourra eveybody), I wonder if/how the impulse platform will ever know I have already preordered it.

Scheduled: I have precommanded via stardock site ... then installed impulse ( that requires an IE update /swt).

Now I have : a mail from sales@stardock.com and an account on impulse with the same mail ... but impulse always ask my if I still want to preorder Elemental when I look for the game ...

You will get a serial number via email. You can then register Elemental in Impulse with that number and then you can download it (when beta has actually started :))

I pre-ordered back in June, and as far as I know I haven't gotten an email with a serial number. Was there something you had to do first for this?

Wait for the beta to start (tomorrow AM0 and your card tobe charged (2-3 hours later hopefully).  Get worried after 4pm only.

And that's EST - Stardock's in Michigan, so if the beta's released today and you don't get an email by late afternoon EST then you might want to contact sales@stardock.com with your order #.
