Dual Monitors and Scrolling

Hi gang,

I searched around, but couldn't find an answer to this question:

Is there a way to play on dual monitors and keep the mouse so it won't slide out of the game and onto the desktop?  I've tried in windowed mode and in normal mode and both versions don't let me scroll to the left (since thats where my extra monitor is).  Instead it just slide right out of the game and onto the desktop, thus not letting me scroll the map to the left (up, right and down work fine)

Is there a way to prevent this?

Thanks in advance!

Although it's not a solution, why not just use the keyboard to move? If you use WASD to move the camera, then you have easy access to 1 - 4 for skills...

I use a program called Ultramon (do a quick google, you'll find it easliy) that is a dual screen tool that offers many features. The one that will help you is "lock mouse to primary monitor" which you can set up as a hotkey. It enables you to use the edge tracking but keep the 2nd monitor on for other purposes. You can also set up a hotkey for quick enabling/disabling of the 2nd monitor if that would be preferable.

It's a handy app...

But in spite of that, i use WASD, and as cody says, it makes casting a breeze with 1-4 so handy.

Thanks for the name of that app, I'll check it out!

I always have my left hand there... I just have been using the side of the screen to scroll since WarCraft 1 came out in the early 90's :)

Would take a bit of learning to switch... but I might just have to if that app doesn't work out ofr me.

Thanks!

Why not just turn off the second monitor in your display settings while you're playing?  That's what I do.

Only takes a second.

That's currently the option I'm doing... I'm just getting tired of switching it 2-3 times per day as I pop between DG and WoW.  I'd also like to have a browser up easily in windowed mode so I can look up rankings etc.

I´m using dual monitors, too. I´m moving around with WASD too. in Addition with the nice zoom via space it works very nice. I´m playing in windowed mode, so each time I´m switching to an other application on my second monitor, the game won´t minimize itself. Are you able to scroll the map by moving the mouse to one of the sides? For moving around, I´m using WASD in combination with space or just the pulled down mousewheel.
