can't uninstall fences to upgrade

I had the earlier beta which expired at the end of August. I downloaded the new beta. When I went to delete the old one, CCleaner kept getting locked out. When I manually went to delete the fences folder, it kept setting itself to 'read only' mode - if I deactivated read only, it would restore read only the second I tried to do anything.

What the hell? I can't install the new one until the old one is gone - I've tried. Why would you insist on making it impossible to uninstall?

You need to uninstall it, you can't simply delete programs.

Most likely some files are in use if you have it installed.  A good trick to get around this is to rename the files and reboot.  Once you do this, they should be delete-able.

Other than that, use the uninstaller next time :thumbsup:
