Mass Upgrade

Is there a way to mass upgrade a fleet?

 

For example, I just upgraded my Destroyer to version 3.  Is there a quick way to upgrade all my existing Destroyer version 2's to 3?  I have 25 of them ><

When you upgrade a ship (via the map, not the designer), there's a checkbox on that screen to do all of that class at once.

Note also, that the method described by kryo the incomparable does that upgrade everywhere, even for ships in orbit.  That upgrade is done despite the fact that the player can not upgrade them in orbit when trying to do it one at a time.

In other words you cannot mass upgrade a 'fleet', but you can mass upgrade a particular kind of ship.

 

Personally, i never use that option because the upgrade option also doubles as a 'repair' button!!

 

Also there is no point in upgrading ALL the ships of that design when only a few of them might be facing iminent combat, then by the time the rest are facing combat, you might have developed a new useful upgrade tech!
