Fences, Impulse

Fences is brilliant, I use it at home and work and have recommended it to anyone who asks about it. That said, Impulse concerns me and I'm no gamer so I see no reason to install yet another program on my employer's computer. Will there be a work-around for this?

The easiest work around for now is to install Impulse,install Fences,then uninstall Impulse. You will need to have Impulse installed to update or uninstall Fences in the future however.

Impulse is the standard software delivery software for Stardock products.  It allows for updates and archives and even has integrated chat so you can find like-minded users or support.

Do you have permission to install anything? You may find that by installing software you are in violation of your Company's IT policy.
