How to install Imperial warships shipset?

I've been trying to install the Imperial warships shipset (found at http://library.galciv2.com/index.aspx?m=149) and I cannot for the life of me get them to show up in game. I've tried installing them in lots of different folders, but not only do they not show up in the ship builder but when I start up the game most of the files get deleted! If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful.

They were created by Rabid_Monkey a long time ago for the original GC2: Dreadlords and thus will not work with Twilight of the Arnor. So if your playing ToA don't bother.
