Excel 2007 is not using neither aero nor windowsblinds skin

Hi.

I just noticed my office 2007 has no skin. nor the aero one nor the windowsblinds. ( I tried both ways).  Windowsblings has no restriction for any application at all. The version for windowsblinds I have is 6.2.102.

Any idea?

if running iconpackager try the repair/restore functions for default - then apply a package

gmc2, did you look at the faqs at Stardock support?

I remember a fix for it but it may be for Vista but I'm not 100% sure about that.

blank icon fix if for vista - 1 for 32 / 1 for 64

oh, I tried all sorts of things short of reinstalling the OS. I posted to the forums, emailed support (no answer), with WB, without WB, etc. I sort of gave up and did a work around. I had an icon program and set all of the icons back to default but didn't do anything for the start menu either. I think all of my blind screenshots show the start menu with the default icons.

anyway, thanks but it's no big thing at this point.

sorry, that was like over 4 years ago. I probably changed my email programs three times since then and...

Was this on XP or Vista?  Can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing?

XP and if you look at most of my blind screenshots you'll see the default icon for most of the programs.

it's okay to let this go.

Hi again. Today I just noticed:

1) If I double click in an excel file it opens and is aero enabled
2) If I use the start orb (windows vista) and open excel it opens with aero enabled
3) If I open it using object dock it opens with NO aero.

Any ideas?

On XP, Office '07 does it's own thing with skinning. WindowBlinds will not skin it because of this.

Shirley, This is in vista.

By now I am not using windowsblinds. Just the standar aero interface. The issue is with objectdock apparently.

You can see in this picture 2 copies of excel. one with aero (directly from the windos start orb) and one without (this started from objectdock plus)

Doesn't skin it in W7 either Shirley, and it's not on an exclusion list.

Regarding OD is working now. I received from support all the instructions to remove OD and then reinstalled it and is working.

Next step is start with WB.

Is this only not Aero when not launched from ObjectDock?  Is there any other time this happens?  Also, was this on 32 or 64 bit?
