Pantheon games and AI

I've been trying to play Pantheon games all day. I think I've had enough now and I'm going to stick to custom matches in future.

Firstly, it takes ages to get a game going, assuming the matchmaking doesn't just fail.

Secondly, more often then not, when you do get a game going, it is instantly conceded due to the presence of AI teammates. This seems to have become worse since the last patch.

My question is simply why do games start with AI players? Is it due to connection issues or is it actually the case that the game matchmaking deliberately decides to start a game with AI? AI has no place in this game except in SP or when someone disconnects. 

Apologies in advance if this has been asked before but I couldn't find the answer.

It's so frustrating as I really enjoy the game.

Not many people are joining the skirmish/pantheon queues at the moment, and after waiting in the queue for a long time it sticks you with AI just to get games going. Not to do with players dropping in this case, I was watching the stats website this morning and it kept putting me with AI + you and the other reg because there were no forces of darkness players queuing.

If that's the case it should be changed because it's completely pointless playing with AI.

 

I'd rather wait in a long queue if it meant human players, than a short one with AI players. Does anyone not instantly concede these games? AI means automatic loss it's so bad. I don't really mean this as a criticism of the AI - it will never be as good as a real person.

i´ve got the second game now where i and 2 humans had to play against 3 ai :P

at least it counts towards statistics, but no good games this way :(

 

edit: make that 4 games.

last game was pretty nice: me with 2 ai vs 3 ai... WTF?!

Everyone has experienced some Pantheon/Skirmish matches that they waited forever and it sticks them with AI. So they figure why bother so everyone plays Customs, which makes the problem even worse because less people try to queue up for Skirmish/Pantheon, which is where the competative play should be happening.

I had 2 ugly games today. One was 3 humans agains 1 human + 2 AI. Why not 2vs2? Last game was 2 humans against me and AI. The game shouldn't start, cause this is totally unfair.

hit concede if the game starts and you are teamed with AI and the game will not be ranked.

5 conceded games today, too many AI ... I would rather wait longer and get a human game...
