Cant use my dreams........

Hi everyone. Hoping to find some help on here. This is getting me quite angry. I dont come here often. I have downloaded a few dreams in the past from this web site and I had purchased the rotating earth dream a while ago.

Now, I came on here yesterday to look around and just bought the asteroid dream. It was working fine until all of a sudden I get this message saying I need to BUY deskscapes??? What is this? It was working fine and now I cant use ANY of my dreams. Why do I have to buy this crap when I just payed for the dream? This is absurd. If anyone knows a way around this please help me out

Are you using Ultimate or another version of Vista.

The free download only plays a selection of dreams.  You can read about them here: https://www.stardock.com/products/deskscapes/downloads.asp

I am using Vista Ultimate. Why would it have played all day and then all of a sudden tell me I need to pay? Now...I had the old version of deskscapes i assume. when i bought the dream there was an email telling me I needed to download impulse. I think when I installed that it all got screwed up. So what is this a bait and switch technique? Its not very fair. I shouldnt have to pay $40 to have a video play on my desktop that I already paid for.

So . . uninstall the latest version (which you didn't need) and use DeskScapes 1.02.

There is no bait and switch.  You installed a version of DS you didn't need and has a different set of features.  Revert, and all should be well.  And again, if you think you got a raw deal, contact support for a refund.  We don't want unhappy customers, right?

Keep an eye out for DeskScapes version 3.

HI! Please help me...I have the latest update of DS, but still can't get it to function properly on my computer. I have XP (32-bit). Everything seems to check out okay even my driver. Any help or advise would be great! Thanks.

The one on the left is my favorite but I kind of like the Obama poster look also.

 

At least none of them look like "Gargabee's Barbi". I bet that's what Barbi looks like without makeup. ;)

It runs so so slow it freezes my computer up. I have to do a hard shut down and restart the system. I think the dreams are simply awesome but not at this expense! <X3  I can preview them fine, but as soon as I try to run the program...POW!!!...insta-freeze. I am a novice, so any suggestion to check would help. Thank you.

What are the specs on the system?  DxDiag information would help as well.
