1.1 is unstable

Two points as to why:

1. Almost every game there is somebody who crashes at the loading screen. Good news is that the concede option gets very good testing :P. Bad news is that getting online and trying to get a good game going just got 10x harder.

2. Favor items are not saved. I need to keep rebuying them. Why was this borked at 1.1? I never had a problem before. How can you mess up something that already worked...

Two quite simple things can ruin the whole online experience. Bad work with v1.1 guys, bad work...

This is actually a GOOD thing in my mind.

You get your Favor Points refunded back to you at the end of every game and can spend them differently next time if you want.

It totally kills the point of favor. Because if none of the items are saved and I get refunded after every match, 2k is all I need, I can purchase any favor item I want and collecting more is just useless.

I see what you're saying and I don't know if it was intended for Favor to be this way (probably not). It does make favor somewhat pointless because anyone can have enough of it after 10 to 20 games to get anything they want. In a way though, it's like renting a car for the day and getting a full refund plus some after you return it; so then you can turn around and get an upgraded car the next day; and so on.

Actually, even though it prompts you to "buy" a favor item every time (despite having previously purchased it), I still think the game recognizes that you don't really need to spend any points.  I could be wrong, but I think it's just a display bug that says we have to buy something which we know full well we already paid for in favor.  I also don't think our favor pools are being affected.  Like I said, I think it's just some sort of display bug.  To summarize, favor is fine (I think).

And I found another thing we can add to the list of "what's fucked up in 1.1", and that is singleplayer skirmish. With a crashing rate of 100% (3/3), I can say that singleplayer skirmish is fucked up. And before some nub says "this is mp game" let me say I know that, but sometimes its easier and smarter to test some shit out in sp, so yes it does matter that it's fucked up.

I'm having alot more crashes than normal on 1.1... 2 games tonight and both MP games crashed...

I'm going to start creating posts for my crashes.  Someone posted this list before, but please do the same if you are having crash issues.

1.     Identify whether any problem you are having is considered a connectivity problem or "other"

2.     If it is a connectivity problem: create a thread in the "Demigod Connectivity Help" forum: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/forum/559

3.     If it is something else, create a thread in the "Demigod Problem Reports" forum: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/forum/549

4.     If you really want to help: go to your My Documents->My Games->Gas Powered Games->Demigod folder, zip your ImpulseReactor.log, DemigodLog.txt, CVPMultiplayerEngine_XXX.csv and MiniDump.dmp files, and email them to support@stardock.com. Make sure you mention the thread title in your email. Even more helpful would be to provide a link back to your thread in the email.

5.     If you really want to help: describe everything about the problem, no matter how trivial it seems, in the thread and the email

ow please shut it...

they did a brilliant job @ 1.1

Not all can be fixed and bugges allways come with a patch.
They'll fix is soon enough again.

i haven't noticed an increased amount of crashes...

apparently they didn't do a good job if they just resurfaced old bugs in addition to adding bugs that make the game nearly unplayable for people who didn't have problems (i'm not sure if i can say that with confidence) before.

This is very odd, as I've yet to experience a single crash with 1.1.

Perhaps it's something that all of the people who are crashing have in common, as there has to be a reason that my game doesn't crash when others do. Can you please post the details of your computer system and we'll see if can't figure out what might have happened. Can you please also give a brief description of what was happening when the crashed occured - if they all occured at the loading screen, for example, it'll be helpful to know.

Yeah, I'm not getting any crashes either.

ive crashed alot more since 1.1, not enough to make me not play though

now that the concede option is here, crashes arent as big of a problem

I crashed a couple times before 1.1 but not that much...haven't crashed once since 1.1. Could be random chance who knows.

I've so far experienced one clean CTD. I've witnessed others drop out of my games due to similar crashes too.

I havent had one crash on 1.1 either, it seems to work fine...

I wouldn't be so quick to say the game doesn't crash anyore...  I've had at least one crash (for me the game just disappears and I'm back on desktop with no error).  The game before that one of my teammates crashed. Also, we've had people "time out" of the lobby, which usually means crash.

In my experience, it merely means they didn't connect soon enough. Most of the time they'll try rejoining which means that, at least for me, it wasn't a crash.

We all have different experiences. 95% of my games are perfect in terms of crashes, drops, etc. I simply find it ignorant to blame it solely on the patch and then blame the very people that work so hard on making these patches. They work hard, stop saying they fucked up. They tried, failed, and will keep trying until they're comfortable with how it is running. Dissing the devs won't make anything better.

Good point, nOObCensored.  None of my crashes have been related to loading nor do I make the same sweeping generalizations as the OP.  If anyone is having increased crashes on 1.1 (crashes to desktop), please see over here.  http://forums.demigodthegame.com/357636/#2281345.  Please take the time to start your own post and do the following if you want to help resolve 1.1 CTD issues.  One guy was able to resolve his crashing problems by uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
