Unclean Beast Suicide?
hey can UB commit suicide on command?
I just had a match where he was almost dead then the message said he suicided and I didnt get any experience or gold.

He probably had Ooze on which takes away his health until he dies unless he turns it off. Lots of UB players try to use that tactic so that the enemy is not credited with the kill.
its stupid. Needs to be fixed. I also think that someone getting killed by forces of darkness right after they kill you amidst your base towers and nobody getting any gold is kinda dumb too. If the enemy over extends themself that bad, they deserve to be punished somehow. Maybe if forces of darkness get a kill, a small amount of gold should be distributed to everyone on the team.
Deaths not caused by any demigod should be counted as if the entire other team assisted....this would also make it so gaming the system by suiciding into towers gives more gold in total to the enemy than attempting to escape and getting killed by them (except in 2v2 where two people team up on one for the kill).
That's a pretty interesting idea cwsault. Very unfriendly to noobs though, who die due to towers oftenly. Also has the odd side effect of the defenders gaming the system, by LETTING the towers get the kill... but maybe that isn't too reasonable.
I agree on Ooze, towers is another thing....
This can't happen very often to make that big of a wave.
I just ran into this last night. Is this new with v1.1, or has it always been there and I just got (un)lucky?
Either way, it's incredibly lame. It very likely cost me a close game.
The ooze suicide has always been there. The towers thing has always been there also. I agree with cwsault that everyone should get some sort of assist for towers/creeps killing demigods.
It's Ooze for sure.
This has happened to me a couple of times recently, and I didnt have ooze.
I think its somehow related to dying from spit when the other demigod is dead, although I realize usually when that happens the other demigod still gets the kill. Theres some unusual conditin that triggers it.
I don't see how Oozeacide can be considered a glitch, or detrimental to the game considering it requires precise timing. The ironic part of this is that frogboy JUST complained about people tagging things they don't like as glitches. /shame. ![]()
I'm playin UB and everytime i've died myslef was cuz of Ooze and only Ooze.
i see no problem suiciding with ooze, if you are skilled enough to do it, you deserve the benefits.
Just autostop ooze, when hp is under the dmg value, ooze deals him per secound. Then it would be more balanced.
Ooze may be imba, if you have a high enough hp reg, or many stacked HP items...
Well...It's not a problem to stop Ooze when U're not in battle or the HP too low but when the enemy is near and i'm a little of HP and cant run from him i'm always stay Ooze cuz, if i'm killing myself my enemy will get much less gold and XP then in case of he kills me. And i dont think that Ooze imba cuz it's a melee attack and any non melee player can just attack from the range. Regulus or TB for example. They'R dont afraid of it. And as a rule, good Regulus or TB runs quicker then UB till level 10-12 or till Journeys boots. Im always need to buy speed boots and wan of speed to catch good Regulus or TB playing Ooze build. So ther's as pros as cons and it's not imba.
I think it's an interesting adaptation of the skill - he's still penalised for his death, however denying the enemy the kill by killing yourself is more luck than anything else as an enemy is pursuit laying the smack down will probably kill the UB before Ooze does. I don't think it's terribly unbalanced as Erebus can kill himself with his own potions. It's a tactic, and a viable one. If it gets changed I won't be complaining, and if it doesn't get changed I won't care.
More often that not, it happens by luck. I cannot imagine that the developers thought to themselves, "I want to see an epic fight where the victorious team that won by a sliver gets nothing because ooze ticked off the last 5 HP of UB."
We had this happen last night. It was a very close match between teams. It's just we started to fall behind because ooze ticked off the last of UB's health 3 times in a row. A team losing out on potentially 9K gold hurts - especially when you are trading kills. They get gold for kills, but you don't.
Ooze already stops when you get to 100 health or lower but the ability doesn't become inactive. Simply hitting the key again will make you take another tick of damage.
And please... a 'skillful' use of the ability? Mashing the number key when you get low on health isn't exactly a feat. Again, seeing as the ability is rigged to turn itself off at 100 or less, I think it's fairly obvious that this wasn't an intended use for it.
I'd wager both this and the Erebus potion exploit (or 'unintended mechanic' for those who are touchy about verbage) are tactics we shouldn't be getting used to.
I mostly play as UB and it is nice when it happens, but I think this is a bug as well. As the above posters stated, if you get a UB down to low enough HP where their ooze kills them (especially if you are still engaged and it isn't a tower/creeps kill), you deserve the XP/gold.
seems like a bug but i dont see this is a big deal. should be fixed i guess but its mostly an oddity.
Personally I think they should add ally hero denies....
This is a very minor issue. If you suspect a fleeing UB to be trying to ooze himself to death you can just run along side him. Wait till his hp is like 100 and then take a swing. Or you can just attack normally, and the vast majority of the time you will get the kill anyways. Besides the bigger benefit is you're up one man for the next 30 seconds and get to destroy towers with more or less impunity.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the concept but it shouldn't work like this.
A hero kill is a significant chunk of cash in this game as I'm sure we're all aware and only two characters being able to deny (or outright steal, in Erebus's case) that hard-earned cash by simply pressing one key is a bit much.
My opinion, of course. As far as this issue goes, I won't say it's 'that' big a deal either but unless every DG is going to have the opportunity for this sort of denial, it's still worth fixing.
It is a minor issue, but, I doubt that gpg originally intended for beast to be able to deny the enemy gold (even if it is accidental) just because ooze happened to do the last 40 damage to him. The issue isn't that it happens very often or that it's hard for the other team to anticipate, its just kind of silly when it does actually manage to happen. It's probly an easy fix too.
but OMG thats last hitting. its not permitted in this game!
