latest update wiped out my stored favor points

Single player favor is (actually) bugged.  You see your items first game after patch, all subsequent games show 0 purchased items and your favor point pool will continue to go down, not saving any purchases in it's wake.

Yea it was intentional. The whole system was borked previously.

Now your achievements can be saved as part of your account.

Example:

http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/achievements/player/21887/

This is a one time thing. We won't be resetting favor again in the future even in future epochs.

What does that mean?  That the whole system was borked?  It seemed pretty clear that favor points were being calculated correctly for everyone I know who plays the game.  Am I to believe that these favor points could not have been carried over into whatever new system was being implemented?

Stardock reset everyone's favor points. Its not that they couldn't have kept them if they wanted to, but no, you will lose your old favor points because stardock decided to level the playing field out. They had issues with the favor point system in the past that gave some people extra points and robbed others of deserved points.

I'm ok with the online favor points wipe.

But single-player favor points are screwed up. Every game I have to rebuy my items. Please fix this VERY soon, kthx.

No, and the irony is that so far, I haven't kept my newly bought items after the wipe either.  I have now bought the charm of life for 4 straight games.  The only saving grace is that my favor points do not seem to decrement for the next game so at least I am not losing favor.

This, I have bought several items serveral times and it doesn't stay bought. I don't loose any favor points either.
