Impulse - a little marketing advice

When I open up Impulse and go to the Explore page, there is a ton of unused space.  Lots of empty acreage that Impulse really should fill up with blurbs and graphics for the games it sellls. I really like you guys, but you've got to put it out there!  Not gonna make an "Impulse" buy unless it's in my face.

The extra space may be because of the resolution of  my graphics and monitor.  However, it seems like Impulse can be formatted not to play to the lowest common denominator. Lots of gamers have higher res setttings and widescreen monitors.

(Oh, and Demigod is awesome....)

Keep and eye out for updates to the Impulse site in the future.  Right now it is in fact designed for lower res screens, but can be tweaked somewhat to show more info per page.  For instance, this: http://forums.impulsedriven.com/354143

a little marketing advice ... part 2

you guys did great with impulse and impulsedriven.com.  the store front, blogs, forums, etc are gelled together nicely.  taking up "more space" on the page is silly.  impulse isnt a steam wanna-be.  your simple and clean interface is highly identifiable with your users and a welcomed relief from trying to view other sites.

considering you sell more than just games, Impulse is a great blend of function and design.  keep it up

Thanks.  Always good to hear.  I'll make sure that the Impulse dev team sees this as well.

I like the clean site too.  Too little information is FAR preferable to too much.

Impulse is the ONLY, and I mean ONLYYYY online store I will buy from anymore. I have tried D2D and Steam and I wayyyy prefer Impulse. No freaking crap like steam has always running in the background taking up resources, and D2D pisses me off by the freaking activation codes required to install the game, and if you ever need to reinstall good luck with D2D IMHO. Impulse makes buying online simple and easy and reinstalling is a snap.

Dont ever change Impulse on the game reinstallation side of things or the ease of use.

P.S. I will only buy non-DRM games through Impulse, mostly Stardock games. I buy Stardock games I dont even play just to support their stance on Non-DRM. If Stardock ever shuts down or gets bought out I will cry.

STARDOCK RULES!!
