premade panth games

can you guys fix this? I keep seeing the same teams (with matching names, how cute) over and over again...really lame.

If by "fix" you mean "give people the option to play arranged teams against eachother in pantheon" then I support this thread 100%.

I definitely think AT pantheon should be available

However it should be seperate, for example there should be 'Pantheon' where you get randomly assigned, and 'Arranged Pantheon' or something along those lines

I have suggested this several times, and yes, there is a simple solution to this issue.

In Pantheon/Skirmish, the players you are connecting to should just have their names as "Player 1" "Player 2" "Player 3" "Player 4" etc etc.  People will not be able to tell who they are playing with, until the game has actually begun.

That won't solve anything.   A premade guy will just quit the match then when he quickly discovers that he isn't with his buddy.  This verification would be done even more quickly on voicechat, which a premade would likely be on.

Buddy A:  I'm loading up a match on Zikurat right now.

Buddy B:  I'm still on queue...

Buddy A:  Alright, then.  *restarts Demigod*

And while I do agree with the notion that having a Team Pantheon option similar to Team Automatch in Company of Heroes is a good idea, its absense does not justify premades trying to have their way with the Pantheon as it is.

At that point of the game if you are dropping it should be under rage quit, or disconnects or whatever.

In the future you could even make that kind of quit ding XP, slightly similar to Halo.

We are planning to add team pantheon. All the more so since people trying to set up arranged teams (thus quitting any matchup that does not have their desired teammate in it) seem to be the biggest issue with pantheon right now.

Couldn't both use the same matchmaking system, but "check" for premades and match premades against other premades of a similar size?  The matchmaking systems in Halo and WoW both do this.

I believe that Pantheon is interesting and fun as a "have no idea who im up against of who is with me" match!! If you folks can someone program Pantheon to prevent people from disconnecting from matches before they begin then Pantheon will become a playground where true friendships and rivalries will be made.

I request that instead of Team Pantheon that Pantheon simply not allow disconnection from the first matchup made for the players. If people want to play team vs team Demigod, they can do it thru Custom matches.

Sincerely,

Boxleitner
