Please FOR ALL THAT IS HOLY

CHANGE THE UI OF THIS GAME

It is so frustrating to see ZERO demigods (except Rook) in a bunch of giants bottlenecked infront of my base in Exile. WHAT IS THE POINT? This game has so many serious design flaws that leave the player WITHOUT CONTROL. What is the point of an RTS/RPG type game if you have no control??? You need to be in maximum control to make the best out of your character. I zoom, I change the angle of the camera, I dance the hibby jibby - Nothing helps to see the enemy demigods except guessing and right clicking into the mob.

At least give us some feedback about the UI issues from GPG. This is VERY VERY frustrating.

Obvious troll is obvious? You think I didn't use that?

i have trouble seeing my guy oak in the middle of a mob which kinda sucks...

pressing CTRL lets you target demigods only.

might be an idea to also highlight them when pressing that key.

Demigods need a certain glow or something. It's hard to see my own DG, let alone enemies, in a mob. CTRL and ~ don't do enough.

I think the OP has a point.

There have been times when things get really crowded and it does take some time to figure out who is where. The situation can be aggravted when there are multiple DGs mixed together in a creep mob of giants (and you need to choose one specific enemy DG to focus fire, grouped with another enemy DG in same vincinty).

A random glow for each individual DG (suggested by Shadow _Avenger) and/or a highlight when pressing CTRL (as suggested by Aroddo) may be helpful.

Yes.

Something needs to be done, really.

I play Rook, and when someone comes too close to me I can't see them anymore due to the size of the DG.

A permanent outline, like the one you get when hitting CTRL would be nice.

press the Tilde key to see the health of others ... keep toggling it till u can only see demigod health

I and others have already written that it is not enough. I should've just taken a screenshot to show you what I meant. I will do the next time.

I have 0 problems in seeing + selecting enemy or allied demigods

Maybe a L2P issue?

More trolls? Is this thread troll bait? Why do you always think that it's a L2P issue? You see people agreeing with me. Friends who also play this game agree with me. So thanks for your smart comments. You are probably one of a kind.

I think the idea of giving them a glow could work.  If anyone has played Heroes of Might and Magic 5 they'd know the silhouette glow heroes have when they are behind objects, it works well in that game.

On a similar thread, it would be nice if the DG icons on the minimap were a stronger colour than the creatures, yeah this isn't a huge issue but clarity is always nice.

Are we playing the same game?  Sometimes I have to rotate the camera because of a tower in the way but that's about it.

because as stated, I have no issues with the current UI

just because I don't agree with you does not automatically make me a troll, I am just saying, its not a problem for me...

I can't see my own Demigod for shit. It's the MAIN reason I always play Rook - so that I can always see myself!

I dunno, honestly I dont have isues with being able to see myself or other demigods. Sure once in a while I'll get killed by a toon I didnt see but it's my fault for not paying closer attention.

The highlight around a demigod when I hover over them works for me.

That's exactly how I feel.

How do you fail to see yourself?!  Is it a colour blind issue?  Or a problem with certain Demigods?

It's a gripe I have with some games like in Left 4 Dead you have these extremely un-immersive highlights and outlines but you need it in that game.  In Demigod it seems so easy and I haven't once accidently used a skill on something I didn't want to.

It's very very hard to see some of the smaller modeled Demigods behind or amongst a group of Giants. I don't constantly mouse over every group of creeps with ctrl held down while I'm engaged with someone incase there's a Demigod model hidden there somewhere, and the health bar option is still sometimes rather difficult to see amongst Giants or behind Rook.

Also of course not agreeing with him doesn't make you a troll, the "Maybe a L2P issue?" comment does.

This. Plus, I find it a nice tactic for the smaller Demis.

This is not a tactic. This is a disability. Not being able to see what's going on is very bad. When I have a rook character teammate I find myself constantly spinning the camera around and it's very frustrating, because when he moves I need to spin the camera some more.

In the game I played on Exile the enemy were TB/Rook/Erebus/Queen and they were all bottlenecked at our base entrance with Giants and other grunts. I try to hover with the mouse but I could not pinpoint exactly who is where. I had to guess (except for Rook, of course). Finding Erebus in the crowd was a fricking joke. Same goes for the TB.

This doesn't happen every game. But on certain bottlenecked maps (Cataract, Crucible, Exile) it becomes very problematic.

Do I also get to complain that Rook is so large that everyone just clicks on him to attack, thereby ignoring all the small DGs?
