Numerous problems today. Is it me or GPG?

I haven't been able to get in a single multiplayer game today, after trying several times over 2 hours. One of the following will occur:

 

1. System freezes when making menu selections

2. Memory Loss

3. Invalid username and password (all I get now.)

 

I've seen forum reports of this happening with others as well. Is it everyone, or just a subset of DG players? One poster believed that servers crashed last night and were still down, which would make sense except others seem to be playing. (some of my attempts have gotten me to the multiplayer lobby with several games listed.)

 

If it IS a server/gpg issue I REALLY wish there were updates on the main page, or even in the forums, so we didn't have to guess.

Everyone got problems with this game because it's an unannounced open-beta test we payed for. I bet everything will be solved in six months or so... So just wait.

Right now I have exactly the same problem as you. My 2 other friends also have the same problems. Any news from GPG?

The game crashed with an out of memory error for the first time today, it was using 1.8GB of ram.

I'm also now only getting the invaid username/password.

 

One thing I did notice was the multiplayer lobby was really full, it was rare for me to more than 1 page of games but today there seemed to be like 4-5 pages of games...could be contributing to the problems.

The lobby server is freaking out. It appears to be holding dupe/ghost games in the list even if they're not available.  I would bet that they never designed the game list to have 30+ games in it and it's at least contributing to the problem.  Prior to this issue I have never had any memory issues.

 

I hope someone at GPG/SD checks their e-mail to day and resolves this.  I'd like to play at some point...
