Mouse cursor misbehaving

I don't know if it has been mentioned before, it might've even been a freak occurence, but last night in my first pantheon game when the game started I could not see the mouse cursor. The game let me move once, from the starting location to halfway between then citadel and the item shop; on Cataract so, yeah, barely any movement. I was getting a weird drag-select looking box on my screen when moving the mouse sometimes. The cursor would appear if I went to the skill screen (though the 'K' key) or the game options screen, but disappear as soon as those screens were exited, no matter how I exited them. Since Alt-Tabbing wasn't getting me out of the game I tried Ctrl-Alt-Del (not to exit game, just to get to desktop) and then reselected the game window in hopes of reloading the visuals. That didn't help either. About out of options, I messaged my teammate letting him know of the prob and was going to let him know I could stick around useless if he would rather solo than have an AI teammate; but after the first message, the problem was fixed and I was able to continue(or rather start) playing.

So if you have the problem, send a chat message (just opening the chatbox doesn't fix it.)

Details

Game: Cataract, 2v2, Fortress

Demigods: Rook(me) & Regulus vs 2 Torchbearers(seemed fire-only)

Settings: All Low, 1600x1200

System: AMD Athlon64 X2 4400(939), 2GB DDR400, eVGA 8800GTS 512MB, SB XFi Extreme Music, Logitech MX510 mouse

Other Notes:

- I was looking at Connection Info screen in waiting area while game started.

- Pings were fairly good, teammate had under 150 ping and opposing both had under 250. Game ran smooth.

I got same mouse, (Logitech Mx510) and have some minor problems also.

Durin load screens I don't have a mouse cursor at all. (Makes using the chat difficult).

Once I also lost the cursor during the game. This happened when I had just pressed an ability, and had the "select target" cursor on my mouse, and a desync window opened up. Lost the mouse cursor, and had to blindly move around the screen pressing the button, untill I finaly hit the "ok" button and the cursor appeared again. I was still able to chat during that time, and the chatting did not cure the problem. The desync had already appeared many times, but only when I had the "select target" cursor, did it cause my cursor to disappear.

I had a problem (amongst about 10,000 with the game) with the page not scrolling for the first 2 minutes of the game.

The game had started, and while all other players went about their business, my map was stuck on one point, could not zoom in or out, could not move the screen. after a minuute it grew a brain and finally worked.

Are your video drivers up to date, and are you using any special cursor software?

I am pretty sure my video drivers are up to date, or nearly so, and the only mouse software I use is the Logitech Mouseware driver software. I played quite a bit of single-player "tournaments" (were talking sp favor in the tens of thousands) and one mp custom game before then, and have played more panth since then (even with the connection window up like when the problem originally occured), and that one time is the only time the problem ever occurred. The only thing I haven't tried to reproduce it, is actually playing a custom game on high graphics settings, then setting graphics to low and playing a pantheon game (I might even need to apply a patch between the two games to reproduce the scenario fully).

Question to the people who have the problem (or a similar one) regularly. How often do you change your graphic settings?

Installed Windows Xp about a week ago, and got the latest drivers for every gear I from the manufacturers sites.

Geforce 6800 GT with latest drivers from Nvidia. Logitech mouse with Mouseware. Drivers from Logitech, Control Center version 9.80.019 and mouse driver version 9.80. (Both from the Logitech driver settings page. Copyright is up to year 2004, so they haven't updated them recently.)
