Can't say I didn't see this coming... I add every single Aussie I meet to my friends list.. over 90% of them I've only seen that initial time I added them then never again. People don't have time and paitence for a broken game. Such a shame.

11:40 and it is busy for me.  I see 10+ peple waiting to play pantheon all night.  If it dips to 4 or 6 it was because a game was just made.  There are currently 466 people in game playing at 11:46pm.  Might want to check your facts.

Why cant you private message people, tassadar?

The game peak at around 600 players.
End of Seeker2012's quote
The peak is over 2000 on a weekday.

I seem to have misplaced the 'open games' link, though...

The number of people has not decreased or incrased for the past month.  I look at that stats page daily it is pretty much the same.

If you don't see that many ppl in custom games, maybe ppl are migrating to skirmish/pantheon.  it could be other reasons.   the stats page only shows ppl playing in a game, it doesn't show everyone who's logged in and are looking.

this game  has hardly any infulence  nobody over here in the uk even knows about it  so i highly doubt it will make a big impact

The thing the naysayers are right about in this thread is that the chat system in demigod is terrible.  It sure wouldn't hurt to have a decent chat system like in Steam.  Would promote friendships and organized play outside of the elite who would use irc or msn etc.

Game is still alive last I checked though.

hmm 400 players are IN A MATCH right now. At 2 AM in America and 8 AM in Europe.... Wouldn't call that a dead game lol

plenty of people playing.  social newtowrking in Impulse sucks... will be fixed over time.

plenty of ppl playing ?

Guys, really, you should reconsider what you think.... In 2009, 400 players, even in the middle of the night is pretty pretty poor for a modern multiplayer focused game.

This game is already dying...

I see the upcoming future like this:

Number of players declines and sales decline cause GPG & SD wasn't able to fix their game in the mean time, as their income lower, they won't release thing like clanwars, new demigods and constant additional features, so actual players will leave this game bored with their 8 poor demigods & bugs & connectivity issues.

I already see this kind of game's decline a bilion of time, and demigod is also already dying right now, this is the end before the beginning.

400 players is really poor for a MP focused game after 6 weeks.

Still cant believe, that GPG & SD made so much silly decisions for the release...

the game is good......but everything the game needs for a succesfull long life is a disaster:

community features, connectivity, content, replays, clans........all is "coming soon" but maybe it will be "to late" to hold the game alive....

Personally I don't think they should release this game in the UK, the connection handling in Demigod is so ropey here.

Yea another few months in development would of made a lot of sense.

the lobby doesn't show full games (non started), it makes sense but its psychologically not very smart.

Yeah, but that should have been done *before* launch. You don't usually get a 2nd chance to have a successful launch. Once word on the street is out that the product isn't working as expected at launch, that reputation is hard to shake. It happens occasionally with compelling products (and Demigod could be one) but it's rare in my experience. At one Gamestop in my area the sales guys are telling prospective customers that "multiplayer doesn't work" and advising them to hold off. That said, Demigod is a pretty uniquely fun game and that's also part of the buzz, so I think the jurie's still out.

But even after all this work it's only fixed things well in certain regions.  I know full well that UK is still shite, none of my friends who I convinced to buy this :X  can get a stable online experience.  Even when we play against each other it's hard work and someone will often drop.
