happens every time i try to load a single player match (skirmish) or a LAN match.

Does not happen if i try to run a Single Player Tournament.

get the loading screen reading the map name and [no text] below it.

No updates were done to cause this it jsut happened, assuming its going to be something easy like delete this file or something,

have forum trolled for a while trying to find an answer but no dice.

If you're getting [no text] on lobby or load screens, try deleting your Game.prefs file from My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod.
