Dreams or Nightmares?

I guess it’s a question of taste, kinda like preferring soft jazz to death metal music & personally, I’m more into dreams than nightmares.

Is there a way to slow down the more hyperactive dreams to calmer, more meditative paces? I download loads of dreams, but end up using e.g. soothing ones like ‘parasite’, ‘red vines’. ‘silence’, & other non-frantic ones.

I usually end up deleting the ‘hey look at my wizzy wow break-dancing in yer face speed’ types. Even though they use attractive themes, they are way too distracting for what I’d like for a desktop. It sure would be nice if more ‘dreamy’ dreams were available.

Just a thought.

You shouldn't copy and paste out of MS Word....it breaks the post for Internet Explorer users.

Sorry C-Guy1. I shoulda noticed the MS stuff before I posted. The idea was to edit out typos first.

Extra step -- Copy and paste the MS stuff to Notepad and then copye and past the Notepad stuff to post.  Notepad strips out the invisible code.

To answer your question, you can slow them down by running them through Adobe After Effects but in the end most oof the time it's too much trouble than it's worth.

What dreams of mine do you think are too fast? I try to create mine as slow as the subject allows but some times it's not quite enough for some people. An example would be the Sphere dream I posted this weekend. It started out fairly fast and I cut the speed down to around half of the original. I was going to go slower but it would have started to appear jerky.

If you find that one of mine is too fast for you and you would really like a slower version, private message me and I'll see what can be done. Sometimes I won't be able to due to the above reason, but sometimes I may already have one done. On abstracts, I tend to create a few at different speeds and then post the one I like the best, which is not always the slower version.

Thanks CarGuy1, I'll try your suggestion. No problem wih your submissions, they're typically tranquil and soothing, but understandably it's hard to satisfy people with different tastes.

What puzzles me about other Dreams is that given the short loop time allotted, why race to go nowhere like annoying animations I use stuff like  Firefox's Adblock plugin to squelch?

Vizualizations & screensavers aren't constrained by time and have way more leeway than Dreams, so yeah.. those don't need to beat some clock.
