I was just playing and a enjoying a very nice 3vs3 game on prison. Then, all of a sudden, for some peculiar reason all my teammates and enemies were replaced by AIs all at once. why?
Maybe your internet connection got disconnected and you are the host and thus dropping off everyone else?
More then likely you had a connection glitch and were dropped from the game. In the 'real' game, you were dropped and replaced by an ai. In your game you saw everyone else dropped and replaced by ai.
