Stopped playing for 2 days, come back, and we're losing by 40k favour. We can't suck this badly, and I know that the dark demigods aren't THAT underpowered.
Is Dark just getting a massive influx of crappy players? Because this is just rediculous. The gap's only going to get bigger and bigger.
Considering that 90% of the time someone fails to establish a connection, 9% of the time playing as dark I end up playing by myself verus multiple opponents and only 1% of the time do I get a balanced game, I'm not surprised that this pantheon is skewed.
Given the low success rate of Pantheon on Skirmish games, I've broken down and started playing custom games.
I play dark but I stopped after the last pantheon didn't record any of my wins. I don't think I'll play much till stat gets fixed up.
Also kneejerk reaction to eberus nerf is to stop playing him, that could explain the loss of some people. Light has a 50 some odd lead on dark with people.
simple answer, pantheon mode f'd up, and stats are now based on random number generators. ST/GPG anounced that they are going to null all previous pantheon victories once the get things sorted out, so dont worry about it.
Well, now that I've been trying for an hour to get a pantheon game going, and this new update doesn't seem to be very happy with me(first time I've ever had connection problems, I swear!), I guess I'll have to duck out of pantheon too.
The updated they did around midnight seems to be working. I'm 2 for 2 in terms of successful games started in Pantheon since update.
I managed to get in to about 5 pantheon games yesterday. Of the 5, 4 were wins, and not recorded. The lose recorded normally of course. Between the horrid stat recording, and the almost gauranteed unbalanced teams, its just really hard to justify wasting time playing anything but custom right now.
When they fix the stat recording, I will give it a try again.
I'm a dark player, but I've lost interest in pantheon until stats are fixed
I usually play skirmish and stopped playing custom since most of them are stacked that I have seen. Pantheon never worked well for me and I don't care for the side choosing so much since it limits people.
Dark has worse AI. *rimshot*
I just stopped playing Patheon since most of the players tended to be AI (it's fixed now but there's still no way to stop rage quitters) and the highest ranking person right now stat pads, which is funny because you wonder what he hopes to gain from it all.
I need to be honest, who care about the rankings? I have had a lot of success in the Pantheon but I am ranked terrible. Hell, I get a lot of favor poitns for the forces of light, thats what matters. I think the dark sides lack of dedicated players is the problem =P btw, 3950 favor points so far this tourney!
I don't know. If I'm honest, the only reason I get any enjoyment out of Pantheon is to see how high of a rank I can get. The randomness of maps and game modes is highly unenjoyable to me in general (2v2 or 3v3's on 5v5 maps, making for very long games).
If I'm just gonna goof off and have fun or play with randoms, I join customs.
Pantheon just has too many issues for me at the moment.

I have not played in the most recent Pantheon, aside from one game to test out the new changes. So my above opinion, is simply that, and is not based on any up to the minute changes.
Dark players mostly play a like and are easy to counter I mean come on how many times do I have to beat the crap out of a staff of renewal using spitting beast!!! Been there seen it a million times try using other skills like ooze.
I played a 3vs3 game last week and won. Dark gained alomst 300 points while the light side gained only 30. I checked my stats a couple days later and noticed it recorded almost the exact opposite. It said the game lasted 30 minutes. The light side got 300 points and the dark side lost with 0 points.
I am getting tired of pantheon because of the stats and the victory conditions. Some nights I play the same victory conditions or maps 3-4 games in a row.
i've never seen a Spit Beast use staff of renewal. seems bad. Spit doesn't stack with itself on the same player, it will just refresh the duration. i've always used Swift Anklets when i play Spit Beast. really helps with the hit+run, harrassing play style.
Well not realizing I'd be locked into a side (seriously with no instruction manual on the digitial download it was an easy mistake to make) I picked light and now that I'm decent with torch bearer (who's also my faovrite atm) I can't switch back and help out.
That isn't mentioned in the instruction manual to my knowledge. What do you mean 'locked into a side' ?

No, the poster is right. Once you select a side, you can't change sides til that Pantheon is over.

My understanding is that Pantheon games last about a week (maybe two), until one sides reach the point total. At that point a new pantheon season is started. It's not like this is a long term commitment, Personally I enjoy custom games. I can switch to whatever character I like.
Yes, it makes perfect sense. The point is you are suppose to role play (hence this is a action stragegy with role playing elements) a demigod fighting for a certain alignment. It would make no sense to switch between sides in a match.
"O noes! the forces of dark are losing, I better stop playing my forces of light character to help them? and prolong the tournament?" Why not just wait for the next tournament to begin and choose an new alignment?
I personally see no issue with being locked into a side for the duration of the tournament. A tournament only lasts about a week usually anyways. So during the duration of the tournament you can only choose between 4 characters instead of 8, not a huge deal IMO.
It actually adds a interesting flow to the games knowing you can only be paired up with your own alignment and only paired up against the other alignment.
Oh. I was thinking that Pantheons would function in a similar manner to ladder seasons in other games, spanning large portions of a year.
