patch made the game worse

I mean if things are all good its super fast but if 1 person can not connect it ruins the whole game. You can not kick people trying to connect now i tried click name on connection tab click eject person did not work. So far with this new patch i have yet played 1 game in 1 hr and 1/2.

This is ridiculous and going on its first full month is unacceptable.

 

Oh go ahead flame me all you want IDK we all paid our good money to play a playable game. This game is so buggy its starting to remind me of AoC and we all know whats happening to that game.

 

This game when you actually play it is great and i have tons of fun when i get to play. The one good thing about thei game is its DEVs actually do keep you informed and man up when mistakes are made. Thats the only reason why i get so frusterated with the game it is so good I WANT TO PLAY DAMMIT!!!

Yes, the patch has made things worse for some users and we all want to play the game vs others online. My own online experience has gone from enjoyable, but flaky, to completely unplayable, so I understand why people are frustrated. But posts like these dont help anything. Stardock and GPG know thier are issues. They are working on these issues - faster and with more clarity then most other companies. Patience is a virtue. I know people are tired of hearing 'give them time' but it's what's needed to overcome these problems.

I usually just start my own games.

Normally, these players who can't config their firewalls cant connect to me, so they don't end up in my games.

Oh, also, there is hardly any lag in my games. I say thats great success.

Well before while it wasnt perfect it worked mainly.  OK there were crashes to desktop when someone failed to connect but that was it.

Now i get loads of errors people getting zero pings cant connect to me NAT issues the patch sadly has made things alot worse.  I've played maybe 1 skirmish game in 2hours+.  Custom games forget it they dont work at all now and pantheon games just dump me in vs AI (same on one skirmish too).

If you ask me for all their efforts Stardock/GPG are trying to fix things too quickly and while mending stuff for the previously broken players, now breaking it for others who had it working.  I've set my router with open ports tested and working but it makes no difference.  They need to stop and think then do things slowly and carefully, instead of chasing a constantly moving goalpost.

Time for gameranger sadly.....

Ok 1 game in 3hours is just a joke and its compounded by the fact theres no single player.  Its a great game just ruined by the worse netcode i've seen since i started playing online games back when rb6 and starcraft was released.

I just have to agree with most people above.

The game itself is superb. I really really like it and when it works it normally works very well. But the really really bad connectivity that makes playing one 20 minute game in 2 hours a normal occurance is totally unacceptable for a game that people have actually paid for. I will give this game a bit more time but I really hope something happens fast and I sincerely hope there is a good refund option available for people with less patience...

Well, I knew the patch was not going to work out. Last night, I had like 3 games in 5 HOURS. Imagine if you have to wait SO LONG just to play a 20 mins or 30 mins games.  It was just completely unplayable, game crashing, people disconnecting and lag. And I'm sure that I'm not the only one experiencing this mess. I just hope that they resolve this issue quickly and fix the connection information box bug.

Well the new tuesday night patch I just downloaded isnt doing a thing different I still cant play.

Good luck folks but this is stupid, I couldnt believe the problems were as bad as the reviews said but truthfully now its worse.  The games awesome but the netcode is apalling i'm requesting a refund to my account.
