Impulse seemed to cause corruption, will it happen again?

64-bit Vista, SoaSE:Entrenchment

A few weeks ago, I got a new computer as my old one was destroyed. It's an Asus G50V laptop, very nice computer. After I installed Impulse, I played Sins (on highest graphics, beautiful), and it ran great, so I decided to get Entrenchment. After playing for a bit, I got an error saying that Program Files x64 was corrupted. Before this happened Impulse seemed to be having some issues, with the menus being black and the text being invisible until I scrolled over it. After I wiped the hard drive to factory preset, I tried installing everything again, assuming I had gotten a virus or something, and then the Prefetch file became corrupted, had to wipe again.

So, my question to you is: was the error most likely caused by either Impulse or Entrenchment, and will it happen again if I reinstall? I don't want to have to wipe it again.

Never had this issue personally and haven't heard of it in support.  Not sure what's happening here but I doubt that it was Impulse/Entrenchment.  I'd say drop us a line at support@stardock.com so we can see if there's something that may be conflicting.
