Competitive players

Hi I'm looking for some competitive players to play against, I normally like to play with my friend on vent and we just get bored after a few games because we beat everyone so bad.  Please don't think I'm full of myself with that statement, 2 competitive gamers on vent SHOULD beat randoms that bad.  But theres no competitive community that I know of and theres no type of competitive matchmaking yet, so that brings me to this post.

Anyone interseted in getting together for some kind of competitive play send me a friend request ingame(MrHertz) and send me a message letting me know your situation if you got friends to play with and hopefully I can get some nightly competitive matches going.  I generally play evening-late night.  Top notch hardcore players are preferred. 

Also if you see anyone in game who thinks they are hot stuff please refer them to this post.  Thanks for reading.

I would Gladly play with you if i had my computer, right now im in MA in my moms house so im using her laptop, good enogh to play but i wouldnt risk a competitve game in this mouseless laptop, but look at me excuses, excuses, excuses.

I don't think the competitive community has sprung up yet, mostly due to the connection issues. Once thats fixed, and the initial round of game balancing and bug fixing takes place, I think the competitive community will gain quite a bit of momentum.

I'm looking forward to it myself - I do Ok online, however I haven't been able to play a 'proper' game yet as connection issues always get in the way.

Play in more than 2v2 matches, play some 3v3 and 4v4. You will eventually find other people who are as good/better than you. Add them to friends list and try to play with them.

There is a small competative community from beta that still plays.  Some of them just destroy random teams all day and others compete against each other.  That being said, I don't know if they want to be "outed" or not so I'll keep their hiding place a secret unless one of them wants to invite you guys publicly... I just wanted to let you know that there are good players (some with vent, some without) out there, just not very many.

I would add you to my friends list but it (along with in-game IRC) haven't worked for me ever (including beta).  Either way, if you see me in chat (sometimes I use a separate client to connect to IRC while I play) or a game up let me know and we can set something interesting up.
