Some XP related questions before purchasing

Is the demo still only Vista only or should it work on XP? I did try it on XP but get a run DLL error.

Will this work on non English versions of XP?

Useful information concerning my system: Windows XP Pro, SP 3, Japanese language

Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT with latest drivers
