Stardock deception and dishonesty

Last Thursday was the fourth anniversary of the start of a thread about Stardock's Multiplicity client for OS X.

For four years, Mutiplicity users have been asking for the promised OS X client - supposedly still in development. For four years Stardock's BS artists have been deliberately misleading its customers with crap like the following:

Neil Banfield, June 22, 2005

The OS X version is still in development and should be in the 1.1 release.

Brad Wardell, June 29, 2005

Sometime this Summer.  Between the move, vacations, etc. our schedule is a bit in flux.

"Frogboy", September 22, 2005

We're beta testing it internally.  If you have ThinkDesk, the beta of it should show up there soon too.

Neil Banfield, April 5, 2006

We have now obtained an intel based mac as well for testing and I hope once KeepSafe 1.0 is released we can look at releasing a beta. Unless something happens in the next few days, I expect KS 1.0 to be released in April 2006.

Neil, Brad and Frogoy. Your contempt for your own customers is despicable. You are nothing but a bunch of pathetic liars. None of you have the guts to admit the truth and Stardock should be condemned for allowing this charade to go on as long as it has.

Is there any forum where you haven't posted this?

Deliberate multiple posting is really childish and unnecessary.

I'm confused about what the issue is here.  Did you buy Multiplicity hoping that OS X support would be included?  Other than in the forums, the OS X client has not been advertised as more than "in development".

Stardock is constanly giving realistic updates on what they have going on... sometimes due to unexpected things they don't meet their own deadlines, or have to change their priorities... there is no deception there, or dishonesty...  They have always provided me with exactly what I was expecting...maybe the issue here is that you are reading to much into things.... they can't give a product till is done, and they have absoulutely no reason to mislead you...

Bahahahahahahahahaha!!!

I've NEVER seen a realistic update time given by Stardock.

I've been waiting for YEARS for a simple bugfix to ObjectDock - You cannot drag and drop to the recycle bin when it is on a locked dock.

They keep promising a working version of ObjectDock for Vista x64. They still haven't fixed a download and archive bug. etc. ad infinatum.

...as for misleading you? All they want is your money. That's a VERY good reason to mislead you!

Stardock never intentially misleads it's customers.  It's in our best interest to deliver a solid product on time.

Do we always make it?  No.  Sorry about that.  Stuff happens.

But having said that, we deliver on what we advertise for each product.  Do we want support for Vista64 for OD+?  Yes.  Very.  But we don't advertise that you'll get it on the product pages.  You get exactly what we promise when you purchase a product.  Should we post a disclaimer on every update post?  I don't think so.

You know what though?  The Impulse Dock and the Dell Dock have all been part of the process to get ObjectDock updated.  There is a lot of old crufty code in the current build that has needed love for years.  Code is like that.  It's getting love now.
