Tired of Complaints

I have a lot of experience with computer games having problems, but each problem has a fix.  Just be calm and read.  Each problem that most of you are having has a fix that has already been posted on this site.  I encountered some of these problems as well, but I sat back withmy friends and we fixed everyone of them.  So of you are probably just attempting to run the game on a system that wasn't meant to play this game, or just don't have a good enough internet connection.  Read the system requirements of a game before you purchase it.  I am tired of all of these peaple disrespecting this game's creation crew.

Like I've said above, just be calm and read.  Your problems are either fixable or something you have caused by not paying attention to the box information.

Or you can just admit that the multiplayer has its flaws, way too many, and just make the launch of the game be the excuse and say that fixes will come in time, which I'm sure if Stardock wants to sell any kind of multiplayer game again that they will fix asap.

You are making it sound like nothing can be improved with the game. There are many things that can be. Until they are, people have every right to complain about it, and you have no right to tell them to stop. So shut the hell up. Not all of us are to blame for our own troubles.

The drama is neverending in the eternal flow of the internet. Just don't let it bother you and stay away from drama threads like I try to do (And failed in by posting here, but I wanted to toss in my dime). That's probably the only sure way, because people will never stop complaining weither it's justified or not.

This game has legitimate issues. We have paid money for this product. Our complaints are valid and justified.

Just to bring up the other side of it though lol....

I do agree with the OP in that the amount of the repeat threads is getting to the point of aggravation. The head guy of Stardock has been posting updates every day telling everyone what they are doing and the steps and progress being made. The game has been improving and they are working on more updates. Any questions people have about why this or that isnt working is answered if you read these daily updates.

Yet people continue to make the same threads "Multiplay do not work.." "Give me phat monies back", "Why cant I connect on pantheon yo" etc etc etc. This stuff is being addressed on a daily basis by the devs yet we still get 28.5 thread a day asking why this or that is not working. It does get tiring to read.

So post them in the velevant threads.  Stop making 50 threads about the same issue.

i agree with op, an overwhelming amount of the same threads over and over, and the devs already said they were working on it,

but nooo, lets not just post in one thread lets post the same one with a diff name as many times as we can untill its fixd...

oh, and the op did say to READ!!! if alot of people did that then theyd know most of all the things they bitch about as been addressd or is going to be!

Well, I for one am tired of all the complaints about the complaints.

Because there have been so many scyldSCHEFING.  I just find it amusing that those that disagree with me sound like unintelligent young teenagers, and those that agree with me sound as if they actually know what they are talking about.

Heavenfall, I never said that the game had no room for improvement, but the company has been giving us daily updates on how they are working on updating the game.  Seeing them doing that I figure that there is no need to complain about them not working on updates, because they actually are.  They could be a bad company, like many out there, and not update the game at all.  They could just leave it as it is, but they aren't.  So please give them a little respect because they deserve it.

To the TC, welcome to a forum.  If you do not like the complaints, do not read the topic.  Your ONE topic will not stop or be considered by anyone.

A lot of people on the boards don't speak English as their first language.  You need to step down from your high horse.

lol it's so easy to make a post like this when it happens to be working for you.  For some of us, there is NO solution to make this work because of factors beyond our control, like buggy net code or the ISP doesn't pass traffic fairly, etc.  What a selfish and arrogant post to make.  I'm a network engineer by trade and I can't make this game work for multiplayer.   So if you want to play the "I figured it all out with my posse" just go away.  You should read this article:

It applies directly to you.

I was trying to be funny, but I can see how that would have failed.

But anyway, you're wrong. The problems aren't fixed, connection issues are still major, and it's way too hard to start an online game.

Wow that article really sums up well a large complaint i've had with the boards.  Most people here are probably fans, but the apologists really ruin any sort of progress.

Like many of the other posts... and Stardock have said: the problems and bugs are being fixed in a quick timely manner.  Everyone needs to take a chill pill and relax for a few more days.  Remember that its only been out for 5 days now (as in only 3 working days) so give the techies at Stardock a little time to actually fix the problem before crucifying the game on the spot.

It's not the job of the consumer to investigate in depth why there is a problem, it is the job of the game designer to make a quality product and in the case of issues to provide solutions. At any rate... it should be put in big bold red letters that the multiplayer issues are known and being addressed.

Wow Fortunato, great link.  It sounds like someone took a psycology class in college and think they deserve to psycoanalyse the whole gaming community.  By posting that he is accepting that the gaming community is in black and white, just what he is accusing the apologizers of doing.  I completely agree that the community and the company should have a close relationship.  The side coming from the community does not need to be comprised of whiny people beating a dead horse.  Issues dealing with problems in game can be brought about in a sensible and organized way.  Guild Wars has a great community relationship.  Although they do have the same whiny gathering they have to deal with, they also get a large deal of their information from the various top ranked players and guilds in the game.  I am not defending the company because I tend to enjoy the games they make, such as sins of a solar empire, I am defending them because they just made the game.  I do agree with you that they are responsible for making a good product and it should have been completed before retail, but its not and they are attempting to fix it.  In another week or two if the problems are still occuring, then I will be in total agreeance with you, but as of right now I'm not.

I think it has a lot to do with prior experiences (with other games and companies maybe). The underlying idea probably is: if a lot of people complain about the same thing, the problem will be pushed to 'urgent' status and they will work faster to fix it. You can't blame people for wanting to play the game they just bought.

And to the OP: some issues AREN'T solved by reading the forums or reading the system requirements. Besides, not everyone is a tech wiz and is able to go through the many hoops to get it running.

Umm considering even blizzard games get such complaints, you should get used to it. People are going to complain even if this game was flawless, and it's not, many people are pissed and tired.

Personally I gave up on the game for now after 3 days of playing because I can't play against other people, and even when I do they don't count properly in the ladder, so much for competitive multiplayer game.

Tell me, where  the solution for this problem is posted?

Ever heard of Beta Testing?

Anyway, most of the issues that Demigod has had on release are all issues that the game had during at least 1 phase of beta testing and have been brought up many, many times during the beta.
