"No Text" loading screen for single player skirmishes

I can play online against other people, and the single player tournament, but everytime i try to do a single player skirmish i get the eternal loading  "no text" screen.   I have no idea why this doesnt work when everything else does.  Does anyone have any ideas on what i can do to make the skirmishes playable?  I can play online and the game runs good once im in game, and the single player tournament runs great too.  I have no idea why the skirmish wont work as well.  Any info will help.
