Monitor issue...

Ok, so I can start and play in single/multiplayer games just fine...However when I play Demigod after about 7 minutes of actual gameplay (Once the game has started and I'm playing) my monitor will just go into sleep/turn off and the light will go from green to yellow rendering me unable to see anything.  I cannot tab out of the game, I cannot Alt F4 or CTRL + ALT + DEL or anything.

 

Basically I have to reboot, and Demigod is currently unplayable for me.  This has NEVER happened before with a slew of other games I play regularly...

I have a Radeon XT1900 video card.  I'm currently running Windows 64 bit.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Are you running in window or full screen?

Try running in a maximized (or really big) window.

I was in full screen.

 

I'm currently running it in Windowed, and it's not crashing...so I guess I fixed being able to play.

Sounds like this issue: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/340816, one I was having in the beta. It's not the monitor going to sleep, it's a hard crash. Only way to get it back is to power cycle the box.

This is fixed for me in the release version, btw.

More people had this issue here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/340582, but these were all nvidia, not ATI.

I'd try two things:

 - Update to the latest drivers.

 - Crank down all of the graphics settings to low, especially turning AA off. This fixed the issue for me when I had it.
