Interesting times of Hamachi......found a quirk.

Alright, so yesterday I hosted a couple games no sweat. No fuss, no muss kinda setup.

As I mentioned in a couple threads already, the overall experience hasn't been the same.

Lots of peeps hosting, nobody showing up. We get the occasional successful host; but people have crashed upon joining and thus no matches seem to get going.

We tried a silly experiment of getting on Hamachi, then joining a custom game (passworded, hosted by me) on the Internet setup. One guy managed to get in, nobody else could connect, so we went back to the drawing board. Funny quirk: When we went to our LAN games list, it continued showing Internet games in the listing.

Just wanted to post to see if maybe that helps you guys any? I'm just baffled why yesterday afternoon I hooked up with 2 complete strangers and managed to get a couple matches in; yet last night through today it seems nobody is able to get a Hamachi game going. We're still testing different configs out and what not......so, yeah, honestly not bitching and moaning, just posting what we've found.

If there's anything we can do to further test things out for you guys please let me know.

I just played a Hamachi game.  Hamachi is a little bit weird, it's entirely possible that there were people with incorrect configs.  Everyone has to have Hamachi as their #1 network connection in TCP/IP config.

People have had strange issues with Hamachi doing screwy things to their networks in the past (not for Demigod, but in general), which is part of why we don't support it. You're taking matters into your own hands if you go that route.
