Im 15 got the game yesterday and I get this whenever i click the "play the game" button.  I have an AcerPower FH computer if that helps.  I'm not really tech savvie so please help me im wondering if i need to buy a graphics card or not or what else i need to do.

That seems to be your problem, that looks to me like an integrated graphics chipset, you'll need to buy a new video card by the looks of it

Honestly, I wouldn't know, though there is different types of slots that different video cards go into (think most are PCI-Express these days, but I'm not sure), so I wouldn't be able to tell what video cards would work with your computer without knowing what slots the mother board has (I tried to look up what your dxdiag said as your motherboard, didn't find what I was looking for)

 

So all in all, sorry, I can't really help you there, I hope somebody else can though

If you can figure out what slots you have, you can go to newegg.com and look for a video card that would run the game, though you would have to wait for it to ship, its cheaper than buying from most stores

 

the system requirements say: 128 MB 3D Video Card (ATI Radeon X1600 / Nvidia GeForce 6800 or better) so thats your starting point to look at video cards once you figure out what slots you have on your motherboard

 

Also keep in mind that you MAY have to get a better power supply depending on what your computer currently has and what the video card's power requirements are!

 

Just remember to make sure all the stuff will FIT in your computer BEFORE buying it, I almost had that happen with a power supply for one of my older computers...

look for a HD4830; i don't know the value of your dollar, but i can grab one for under $160AUD.

[EDIT:] that said, the rest of your computer is pretty old, you won't get much more out of it. i'd save up (what an ironic statement Today) about $600-$800 and buy a new computer.

track down game.prefs and delete it (it's inside a hidden folder in you Windows account) and that should fix it.
